Part 60 - Jars of Clay

One thing that hardship brings out in us is our weakness. Particularly when we are powerless in the face of uncertainty and difficulty we realise how weak we are.

This feeling of weakness is one that Paul felt, and yet he embraced it.

‘But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.’ 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

The reason why Paul embraced his weakness was so that the great strength of God might be shown.
