In 2022 we have been able to remove Covid-19 restrictions. We no longer require masks to be worn in church; but of course if you would rather wear a mask please don't hesitate to do so. If you would like to attend church with more space around you then the left-hand side of church is the place to sit. There is a sign up as you come into the main church building saying, 'More space here'.
The children's work, both on Sundays and midweek, in now up and running again.
There are some things we began in lockdown we have decided to stick with.
1) Fergus, the vicar, has been writing a weekly email to all those connected to St John's to keep everyone up to date with what's happening. This weekly email is still being sent, and it has taken the place of a paper notice sheet in church.
2) During the first lockdown we began weekly prayer meetings on Sunday evenings at 8.30pm on Zoom. These have continued and we have decided to make this a permanent feature of our church life rather than returning to Sunday evening services. If you would like to attend and don't currently receive Fergus's weekly email please use the form below to ask for the Zoom link.
3) Although we no longer provide a full service online each week the preacher is still making a video recording of their sermon. This means if you aren't able to get to church for a week or two you can still hear and see God's word preached. And, of course, you can listen again if in church the preacher spoke too fast!
We are very grateful to our loving God for his care over us during the last two years.
