Youth (11-18)

cyfa pf retreat

Pathfinders for ages 11-14 (school years 7-9) runs in the Church Hall on a Tuesday evening from 7.30 - 8.45pm. It is a time for fun and games, as well as time spent studying the Bible together as the young people ask what it looks like to live for Jesus for them.

CYFA runs on a Sunday evening from 6.30 - 8.30pm in the Church Hall for those aged 14-18 (school years 10-13). A mix of games and Bible study, we aim to help the young people be prepared for a lifetime of following Jesus.

We try to get away together as a group twice a year for a retreat - a weekend away from the business of life to get to know each other better and to receive teaching from the Bible. On one of the retreats we are joined by the Pathfinders - always a highlight of the year in CYFA.

You can download a registration form here.

Many of our youth go to Cumbria Christian Youth Camp (CCYC) in the Summer as campers and as leaders. CCYC is a tented camp at Braithwaite, near Keswick, in the first week of August every year. For many of the youth it has been a significant time in their Christian lives, and many who have been a part of the youth here at St John's in the past return as leaders.

Each year there is good Bible teaching as well as games, outdoor activities and sports. For more information click here.
